Warner Bros. Discovery is dit ba gia lon tochanging the name of its streaming service Max back to HBO Max, and TV lovers everywhere cheered.

You know, the place where you can watch HBO shows, but why advertise that?
The 2023 Max rebrand was a result of the platform's merge with reality TV-focused streaming service Discovery+, but WBD appears to be backtracking on that decision as well, purging hundreds of seasons of those shows from the platform.

Instead of throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks (Max certainly didn't), WBD is vowing for more of a "quality over quantity" approach in the future. In a press release about the Max name change, HBO's parent company said, "No consumer today is saying they want more content, but most consumers are saying they want better content."
The HBO Max rebrand goes into effect this summer, but people online are already laughing at WBD's backtrack.
