How to prepare for preorder
On the Apple website, choose the model you'd like to preorder. On the order page, you can add all the details about your order, like finish, storage capacity, and mobile carrier. Then, you'll be asked to log into your Apple account, choose your payment plan, and enter your payment information. If you're paying in monthly installments, you will also fill out information to get pre-approved for your payments loan.
Once all of these steps are complete, the information is saved within your Apple account. All you need to do is sign in and hit complete when preorder goes live.

Preorders open at 8:00 a.m ET/5:00 a.m. PT, Sept. 17. This is when you should log into your Apple account and complete the order. From there, your shiny new iPhone 13 will ship on Sept. 24.

Carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon offer trade-in credit when you buy through the Apple store. How much credit you get depends on the value of the old model as well as the carrier, so make sure to read the fine print. Wal-Mart is also offering a deal of $100 off handsets.
