Immortals grabbed their first win of the tournament against EnVyUs on sex c?a ?n ??Cobblestone after losing to the French team the past two times they met. Following the match, we caught up with Lucas "steel" Lopes to hear his thoughts on EnVyUs, his team and their chances of making it through.

The Brazilian squad have struggled at Major qualifiers in the past, but have got a good start in Atlanta by beating Envy 16-11.

After their first match of the tournament, Lucas "?steel?" Lopes talked to us about the history between the teams and the Henrique "?HEN1?" Teles - Kenny "?kennyS?" Schrub duel.

Your first match was against EnVyUs, a team you have a bit of recent history against, losing on Cobblestone in Brazil and on Cache at ECS, how were you feeling getting the first win?
At the moment I'm feeling relieved because we finally made it, we finally beat them. It's always tough to play against them, I mean, they are legends of course. And I'm just happy because we are 1-0 in the first day.

Before you played this match, what were your thoughts on the matchup against EnVyUs'

I was really confident and I think my team was also because, we know how good they are but I think we are in shape to, we are comfortable and we are prepared to make it to the Major.

In the last match you played against them, on Cache, you had a big lead and in the end they won in overtime. Thinking back on that match, what was the problem there?

We could not adapt in the mid of the game on that map. Our CT side has not been so good lately on Cache, so they started doing the same thing over and over and we just couldn't react and they beat us.

One of the interesting parts of this match was the AWP duel between kennyS and HEN1. How was he feeling coming into it and what were your thoughts on that duel?

HEN1 is always telling me: Cobble is my best map, no matter what team we are playing against you can pick it because we can destroy them. HEN1 is pretty confident on that map, no matter who he is playing against I know he is going to do good.

On the map you had a strong CT side, why do you think it was so easy for you?

Because I think we know a lot about EnVyUs on Cobble. We have their strats, we know how they play. And I think that's what made it easy for us.

So did you do a lot of research on their Cobblestone in preparation?

Actually no, but they are playing the same style for a long time and I think that makes it easier to read them.

Moving on to the second half it took you some time to get into the groove, what was the hardest hardest part on the T side for you?

I think they were not letting us do our B strat, they were interrupting our execute, always killing us in the mid of the execution. So after that we went for defaults and just done that.

You have your first win, is this finally the time for the Immortals guys to go to the Major?

I would be so happy if we made it because they have already tried three times and I think that this time - it's our time.
