According to Spotify, via its end-of-year Wrapped data, he accumulated over 18.5 billion streams in 2022. The second most-streamed artist was Taylor Swift, followed by Drake, The Weekend, and BTS.

Following Styles, "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals ranked second, and "Stay (with Justin Bieber)" by The Kid LAROI came in third (the song also appeared on last year's global list). Rounding out the top five are two tracks from Bad Bunny: "Me Porto Bonito" and "Tití Me Preguntó."
