2. Online sex ed resources

Emotional intimacy is one thing, but for many people physically intimacy with a new person is daunting. It's a big part of any romantic relationship, but it's not something everyone has a lot of experience in. That's why it's important to have trusted sex ed resources on hand. Sex advice is especially beneficial for young people who might not feel comfortable asking others for help.

  • Planned Parenthood's Chat/Text Program:A team of trained health educators are available online and via text from morning to night to advise on questions related to pregnancy, birth control, abortion, sex, health and wellness, and sexually transmitted infections.

  • Jane's Due Process: This nonprofit organization works to help minors in Texas answer questions about how to access birth control or have an abortion. Jane's Due Process also provides free attorneys to young people who need assistance with the abortion process.

  • Planned Parenthood's Roo: If you're 13 or older, you can also reach out to Planned Parenthood's chatbot, Roo, to privately ask questions about bodies, sex, andrelationships.
