FURIA were woeful throughout their Major run,sick weird disturbing sex videos and they were comfortably beaten by G2 in this elimination series.

G2 have kept their Major dreams alive with an elimination series victory over FURIA, taking a 16-8 win on Inferno and a 16-7 victory on Mirage.

There is little to analyze about this series as FURIA were levels below G2. They didn’t seem individually up to par, judging by the player cams their mentality was in the dumps, and there was no clear game plan in action.

FURIA were in poor form throughout their Major run

By contrast G2 were firing on all cylinders, particularly the brotherly duo of Nikola "?NiKo?" Kova? and Nemanja "?huNter-?" Kova?. The European squad still have a long way to go if they are to make it to the playoffs, but their comfortable dispatching of FURIA will give them confidence they are, at least, ready to compete in the upcoming do-or-die series.

Coming into this Major FURIA were in the midst of a revamping of their style, attempting to move away from the balls to the wall style that has defined them for years.

The initial signs seemed promising at the RMR and IEM Rio, but the Brazilians flopped badly at this Major and will need to re-evaluate their approach moving forwards. Their offensive halves were particularly concerning, they didn’t manage a single T round until this series against G2.

G2 are not quite the powerhouse side they were at the start of the year when they won IEM Katowice, but they strolled through the Challengers Stage here in Paris with little difficulty.

Things changed in the Legends Stage for G2 as defeats to Bad News Eagles and Vitality have left them staring into the face of elimination, but they were close losses and could easily have been wins on a different day. They were too good for FURIA in this match, but will still need to face some tough teams in their remaining elimination series. The first of those tough teams will be fnatic.
