John Mayer's new music video is gay on bed sex videouh, something else.
In the teaser he tweeted Wednesday, apparently his song "New Light" was so good, it required a music video fast. Like, reallyfast.

And the video, released Thursday, is amazing. From the opening shot -- a title screen that misspells the artist as "John Mayor" -- to the clips of Mayer dancing on a mountain with a miniature version of himself, this video has the makings of a quality meme.

So what's the story behind the video? Is it a nod to Mark Gormley's 2007 YouTube classic, "Little Wings?" A tribute to Kanye West's "Bound 2," where the fake wind blows Kim Kardashian's hair in the wrong direction?
According to Mayer, nobody could agree on a budget for the music video, so he found a company that usually creates those cheesy birthday and Bar Mitzvah montages and made this masterpiece. It's a testament to green screen magic.
