JD.com’s food delivery now fulfils more than 25 million daily orders after just over four months of service, with over 1.2 million restaurants onboard and more than 120,000 full-time couriers. JD.com chairman Richard Liu said up to 4,000 couriers are being hired daily, pushing total staff toward 900,000 by the quarter’s end.
