Notably, this marks the first instance where the Chinese phone maker has appointed two female executives simultaneously. Xu Fei is appointed as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, while Zhang Jianhui takes on the role of Vice President and Chair of the Procurement Committee. “They are both employees who joined Xiaomi at the beginning of its entrepreneurship, and have grown together with Xiaomi for more than a decade,” said Lei in the Weibo post.
